Registration will be open in Autumn 2025. Registration is free and we recommend printing your entrance badge in advance.

Can children attend?
NO. Due to the nature of the event, children under the age of 16 will not be admitted to the show under any circumstances. We advise younger visitors to bring ID as checks will be in operation.

Due to the site conditions visitors requiring assistance should contact the organisers well in advance so that the necessary provisions can be made.

Accommodation in the area surrounding Hillhead is in high demand during the show and we recommend booking early.

Is food & drink available?
Yes. We have several food outlets serving a range of hot and cold food and drinks and catering to various dietary requirements at the show.
Hillhead Cafe is located within the Showground Pavilion, there are mobile units at various locations around the site and a catering kiosk within the Registration Pavilion.
Water refill stations are located at the Registration Area and in the Organiser's Office. Refillable bottles will be available to purchase but visitors are encouraged to bring their own.

Are cash machines available?
There are no cash machines onsite and we advise visitors to bring cash with them. The cafe and catering outlets have facilities to take card payments.
What should I wear?
Hillhead takes place in a quarry, the ground is uneven and consists of loose rock and gravel. We request that visitors wear sturdy, suitable footwear. Sandals, flip-flips, high-heels and pumps are not appropriate and may cause injury.
Also allow for British summer weather - rain coats and sun cream.
